Here is a simple watercolour painting idea to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
This is an excellent activity to introduce watercolours as you need only one colour and the shape of the shamrock is simple.
I always put out some blank paper for the child to experiment with first and when they are ready they can fill in the shape.
They make a lovely display mounted on a piece of green paper.
When they are finished painting the children was the brush and change the water for their friends to have their turn.
It would be lovely to have some real shamrocks growing so they can paint from real life….next year!
