How to make fine motor activities with ice cube trays

Here are some examples of the simple yet enticing ice cube sorting trays that will keep the children focused and enhance their fine motor skills.

You can pick up ice cube trays new for about $2 from Kmart or next to nothing from second hand shops. I found the matching buttons on ebay for a few dollars for 100! You don’t have to make them the same shape as the ice cube tray just something that fits in without getting stuck!

It’s great to have a selection of tweezers and tongs so try them out first before you pick the one to put out with your activity.
