I have made up these envelopes so that the children can put their small drawings and cutting in them to take home.
I have made up cardboard templates to trace around so I can use pretty paper.
I also have printed templates for the children who want to make their own. Depending on the children’s ability I have some from scratch and some already cut out that just need to be folded and glued and some all ready made up.
I like using Japanese paper as the tiny patterns suit these small envelopes.
I usually turn some of them inside out so that the children can write their names on the outside. You still get a feint pattern and you get the pop of colour when you open them up.
Here are the cutting activities. The children either put the pieces into the envelopes to take home or glue them onto paper.
These are the ready made envelopes with dot stickers for the children to seal them.
Rather than use up too much of my beautiful paper this is a sneaky cheat to still get that pop of colour on opening.
So cute and so handy!
