1st September 2015 is National Wattle Day.
My post Lets go outside to create took us into the garden to be inspired by the flowering wattle. This is another Wattle activity to try.
Yellow crepe paper or streamers cut into small squares.
A basket to keep these in and a basket to put the wattle blossoms into once they have been scrunched up!
A lead pencil for the child to write their name and a green pencil to colour the leaves and stem.
Craft glue to stick on the blossoms
I found the template of the wattle from an old teaching resource book but it would be pretty simple to make your own. If not let me know if you would like me to do a template of my own up for you.
Here are a bottlebrush and a wattle collage made with tissue paper and old wallpaper sample books.
