Winter snowflake play dough

I was inspired by this recipe for Snowflake Play Dough by The Imagination Tree on Pintrest.

Recipe for bright white play dough:

  • 1 cup cornflour (cornstarch in the US)
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup boiling (or nearly boiling) water
  • silver glitter

Mix it all in the pan over heat. This is what it looks like when its ready.

I found that when I mixed the sparkles in you didn’t really see it so I sprinkled lots on top when I rolled it out!

After the children have had their fun playing with it they can cut out lots of snowflake shapes and dry them out to be used as Christmas decorations!

Here are some of my other play dough blogs and recipes.
