Recycling fruit bag netting

It seems more and more fruit and vegetables are being sold in packaging. I reduce, reuse and recycle where possible but had always struggled with the net bags fruit is sold in. They are not suitable for collage as the surface area is too small to stick them on with anything but sticky tape. I tried to utilise them for embroidery but they seem to have a life of their own and curl up which is tricky.

We are eating a lot of oranges, cut into eighths and frozen, for after school snacks and they only come in these net bags. Time for some research on Pintrest and of course I found some great ideas which I have saved at Recycling in a Montessori Kindergarten

So I whipped up a small child sized scrubber to start with.

Happy Earth Day.
