Following on from our mushroom investigation we are looking at ferns and have found this lovely page in Plants That Never Ever Bloom.
Here is Brisbane some ferns grow like weeds but they are still fascinating! Ferns have be around for 360 million years according to fossils but most of the plants we see appeared about 150 million years ago. So this a pretty exciting connection to dinosaurs!
Following on from our Biome investigation you would be surprised to find where ferns can grow.

I love the variety of ferns in the world. They are fascinating. Isn’t it funny that they can grow like weeds in nature, but in the house they can be very temperamental?
